Grainger Tactical is owned and operated by Grainger county native Tim Spoon who has been instructing self-defense classes in the East TN area for 24 years.  Realizing the need to provide a complete program of self-protection, the handgun safety program was added in order to allow individuals the ability to obtain a Handgun Carry Permit in the state of Tennessee.  Simply put, Grainger Tactical offers the most complete self-protection program available in the area with classes available for all ages.

Handgun Permit Classes are held monthly and are conveniently located only 1/2 mile from Grainger High School.  Our firing range is large, paved, and has a covered shelter to provide protection from the elements, and five shooting lanes means less wait time for the students.
